01. General & Philosophy

What is PixelCraftin Studio?

PixelCraftin Studio is an independent development collective building clean, lightweight, and privacy-respecting Android applications and games. We craft tools that do their job fast without ads, telemetry, or bloatware.

Are the apps really free from advertisements and tracking?

Yes, absolutely. None of our utility applications (such as Calc+, PdfEditor+, Quik Note) contain third-party advertising SDKs, background telemetry, or behavioral tracking libraries. Your data remains strictly on your device.

Is the source code open-source?

Yes. Our app source codebases are published on GitHub for public inspection, security auditing, and community contributions under open-source licenses.

02. Downloads & Installs

Where can I download PixelCraftin apps?

You can install our apps directly through the official Google Play Store catalog or download signed APK releases directly from our GitHub Releases repositories.

How do updates work?

If you installed via Google Play, updates are delivered automatically through the Play Store. If you installed via direct APK from GitHub, you can download newer APK releases and install them over your existing version without losing your local data.

Which Android versions are supported?

Our applications target modern Android versions (Android 8.0 Oreo up to Android 15), with support for Material You dynamic theming and high-refresh 120 FPS displays.

03. Privacy & Permissions

Why do apps request certain Android permissions?

We strictly request only the minimum Android permissions necessary for user-directed tasks:

  • VIBRATE: Tactile haptic feedback on button presses.
  • MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Used by document and file tools to open, edit, and save files selected by you.
  • USE_BIOMETRIC: Unlocking password-protected notes locally without storing passwords in plain text.

Is any personal data uploaded to remote servers?

No. Calculations, PDF documents, and notes are processed and stored locally on your device storage. Our offline utility apps do not request the Android INTERNET permission.

How can I delete all stored data?

You can clear local data at any time via Android Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage > Clear Data, or by uninstalling the application, which permanently purges all local databases and cache.

04. Apps & Features

What is Calc+?

Calc+ is a Nothing OS inspired minimal calculator designed for quick math, unit and currency conversions, history tape tracking, and tactile haptic feedback with zero ads.

What is PdfEditor+?

PdfEditor+ is a local PDF utility to view, annotate, merge, split, and digitally sign PDF documents on your device without watermarks or cloud uploads.

What is Quik Note?

Quik Note is a fast, distraction-free note-taking tool and checklist manager with on-device AES encryption, tags, and local search.

05. Contributions & Support

How do I report a bug or request a new feature?
